Way behind!

I know..I have fallen behind on the blog posts. Life keeps us busy and so does Landon! So briefly let's catch up.

At 2 years old he is:  32lbs (91st%) and 37 1/2inches (94th%). He has a little of my side in him :)
  • Potty training is an on going pain in the rear! Everyone keeps telling us to put him in big boy undies and let him feel what it's like to be wet. Yea did that yesterday. He wet 6 pairs of undies in less than 20 minutes and pretty much could have cared less. Thank heavens for hardwood floors!
  • The day after he turned 2 he crawled out of his crib for the first time. I had pretty much decided I'd let him sleep in his crib until he was 12 as long as he continued to sleep through the night. He came like a ghost in the night. I put him in his crib, he cried, I went to check email and I turned around and he was there with a HUGE smile on his face. He even had the guts to SHOW us his new trick. He was quite proud of himself... Thus the toddler bed is now here to stay. And apparently so are his feet in my back.
  • His father has officially taught him to call me Jenn. Our nightly routine consists of dinner at the table where Landon makes a huge mess and while I clean the kitchen Jeremy jumps in the shower and lugs Bug with him. So when Jeremy is ready for me to come get Landon and dry him off so he can finish his shower he very loudly yells "JENN!!" Took less than a week for Landon to pick it up. Now every night from the shower I'm Jenn and not Momma and they both think it's hilarious!
  • He's speaking in 4 word sentences. He's also yelling in 4 word sentences. Not always what we want to hear and we definitely don't understand it all, but for the most part, he gets his point across. Actions speak louder than words.
  • If you noticed the ticker on the right, you'll know that despite all of these fabulous hurdles, we decided it would be fun to do it all over again starting in August. Yes, we are crazy. But VERY excited! He continuously makes us laugh with his silly personality and charm.
We went to see Robin today and she polished his eye and gave him a final check up. Everything looks good. We go back now every six months for a polish and to make sure it still fits correctly. Okay! I promise to be better about posting!

Hey-

You may not want to hear this, but Landon may simply be too young for potty training. Boys tend to potty train later than girls. Both of my boys were pushing 3 before they trained. When they decided it was time-it was time. No hassles and no accidents. Seriously. Just food for thought.
